And then, there was a belly!

I am fortunate enough to get to see my sister just about every weekend and am blessed to be able to live down the street from her, my brother-in-law, Robert, and my wonderful niece, Lauren. It has been the best experience of my life these past 5 years getting to watch Lauren grow up, getting to have them around while I grew as big as a house with the boys, and now getting to see her pregnant. And, lately, it has been so much fun seeing them on the weekends because Jennifer's little belly gets bigger and bigger every week.

This past weekend we went over to their house to see their Christmas decorations. James and Jack LOVE being over there so that they can play with Lauren and see their Aunt and Uncle!

Jack LOVED watching Lauren on the computer. She is really very patient with them and is a great cousin. She has also started picking them up more which is a little scary at times :)!

Oh, He's Cute!

The boys had so much fun helping with the tree so we had to get out the video camera to capture some memories. We turned the viewer around so that they could see themselves and James definitely saw something he liked!

I think he likes being on the big screen!

Christmas time is FINALLY here!

We finally got to put up our Christmas decorations this weekend. It was definitely an interesting experience with the boys. They were BIG helpers putting up the ornaments but they wanted to take them down as soon as they put them up.
This is James hanging some baskets:

Hum, I wonder how all those ornaments got on the floor?!?!?

We have been trying really hard to remind the boys that our Christmas tree is a "No Touching" Christmas tree. They can't seem to get it straight though. I feel like Jack came up with a game where he has to grab off all the ornaments as fast as he can and then throw them as far as he can in 5 seconds. He's pretty good at it!

But, we had a great time decorating the house and it is so much fun getting to do it with them.

And, we get experience this wonderful holiday through their eyes.

Poll not necessary!

I was thinking of posting a poll for you all to respond to telling me whether or not James should have his first hair cut. The problem was his curls were so cute that I was terrified they would never come back after the hair cut. My mom told me that my brothers hair was just like James' and after his first hair cut his hair was as straight as a board. But, this became the state of James' hair:

I mean really, the boy could barely see! His eyes became very irritated to the point of them getting swollen. This may have been something else like pinkeye but I am certain the long hair in his eyes had something to do with it. I resorted to doing this to his hair:

I know, he will kill me some day for doing this to him but look at that sad little swollen eye! We decided to make an emergency run to Great Clips.

He did such a great job and sat there so still. I didn't cry but I did keep a big envelope of all the fallen curls :(! Here is the final result:

Not bad! And I think the curls will show themselves again!

Big Eaters! And I do mean BIG!

The boys have recently become very independent with their eating. They don't want Mommy and Daddy to feed them; they would much rather feed themselves. What this means is, they want to have the WHOLE hamburger and the WHOLE pizza on their tray (those of you who know me know that I don't cook. Unfortunately this includes food for the boys. We do try to have fruit at the end of our unhealthy meals!). I think it looks pretty funny seeing them hold these BIG food items in their little hands.

Great Pictures

My brother-in-law, Robert, took these pictures of the boys. I thought they were so great I had to share them with you all. I think he should at least do this more often in his spare time don't you?!?!

Halloween Fun!

The boys had PJ day at their school where everyone was supposed to wear their night clothes. Fortunately I had already bought them some cute Halloween PJ's. This is the only picture I got of them in them. They are practicing signing cold. I must say, Jack is pretty convincing :)!

James and Jack had a great time dressing up for Halloween. I put black mascara on their noses and they loved it. I'm pretty sure they thought they were getting some sort of nose massage! We didn't go door-to-door as Jesse and I both knew we would be the ones eating the candy. We just went down to my sisters house, played outside, and watched all the neighborhood kids trick-or-treat. Here are some pictures of our fun night:

Just sizin' each other up!

Lauren was the PERFECT Dorothy!
