Easter Sunday

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday with the boys today. They had a great time opening their Easter baskets. It was filled with many Elmo goodies!

They looked so cute in their Easter outfits. Unfortunately, this is the only picture I could get with them in it.

After church, lunch, and a long nap, we had a wonderful Easter egg hunt! The boys had a blast!

After they found all the eggs, they realized there was something in them and gorged themselves on chocolate. We decided once a year couldn't hurt.

So far, we have had a couple sugar related breakdowns but I think we will be okay!

Book Worm!

So it turns out that our little boys are quite the little book worms! They have loved books for most of their lives to the point that they insist on sleeping with a book at night. There favorites though are Elmo books. This past weekend, we went to Target and the boys spotted an Elmo Easter book. They were adamant about getting it and since we are having problems sharing, I was forced to get two of them. While in the store, Jack couldn't take his eyes off the first page and kept saying, "MoMo!" and pointed incessantly at Elmo. Since then, he carries it around with him everywhere he goes. He was walking around the house while reading it yesterday and tripped and fell over Chipper. Tonight, he insisted on having it at dinner.

And, yes, he insists on sleeping with this book too!

A Dirty Day

The weather has been so nice lately and we have been able to spend more time outside. We are a little short on outdoor toys so I have let the boys play in the flower pot. It made for a pretty dirty day!

How is it possible . . .

. . . to get this messy from a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?

At one point during lunch, James actually had half his sandwich on his head.

Cartoons

I know, it has been so long since I have posted. Times have been more than busy lately to say the least. This week, I was away in Austin at a Technology conference for three days. Jesse did great with the boys without me but I missed them very much.  I learned how to do many strange, different things. One of which is below. For those of you educators reading this blog, this link has a ton of great tips ranging from education to how to search the internet easier.

On the last day of our trip . . .

. . . we woke up to this:

and this:

These are pictures that I took from inside Grandma and Grandpa Chupp's house. Aren't they good!?! We were so excited to get the snow and did get to play in it a little bit. I wish it would have come a little bit earlier though.
The boys weren't quite sure what to make of the sledding.

Grandma Chupp helping the boys down the hill:

Time to go in!
We had to leave just a couple hours after our fun in the snow. Here are some shots of our drive out of town.

Sledding Video

Here is a video of James and Jack's first sledding attempt. Sorry it is so shaky in the beginning. Jesse needs to work on his videoing!
