The MacBook Crash of 2008 has struck the Chupps

The title says it all . . . My school laptop, which has been at my side since I got it last year, crashed on Tuesday. My initial reaction was not what you might expect. I call it the MacBook Crash of 2008 because this has happened to several people across campus. It has gotten to the point where you are extremely lucky if it hasn't happened to you. I knew it would eventually happen so I backed up all my files at the end of July. So I was fine knowing that I backed up a little over a month ago and wouldn't have lost that much stuff.

I am sure you all can see where this is going . . .

The next day at school, I insert my backup disks in my temporary computer and . . . BLANK, BLANK, BLANK!!!!! I was (let's be honest, still am) devistated! You can't imagine all the stuff I lost. I told our campus techy today, "It's a good thing I remember what my boys looked like when they were babies because I'll never get those pictures back." I was being just a tad dramatic because fortunately, I backed up in September of 2007 so my entire life wasn't lost but almost a year is gone.

Also, for those of you that don't know, there is a program called Senuti that allows you to transfer the music from your iPod back to iTunes. Now, if only I can figure out how to get my pictures from my iPod back to iPhoto I will feel a lot better.

Fun in the sandbox

For some reason, it didn't feel that hot outside yesterday afternoon so the boys and I went and played outside. They decided to play in the sandbox which is pretty unusual.

(I ended up putting a shade on the other side so it was
completely shaded inside the sandbox.)

Apparently, it was hotter than I thought because this is what Jack did as soon as we got inside.

Coloring Gone Wrong!

The boys insisted on coloring the other day (they don't do this very often) so I took off all their clothes and set up at the table. It started so innocently.

Very soon however, I noticed they weren't coloring their pages and had started coloring themselves.

Look how proud of themselves they are. Oh well, at least they were waterproof markers.

Making up for lost time

I was looking through my camera and found several pictures that were fun and outdated. I have been meaning to post them but this summer has gotten away from me. This first one is from when my parents were here in June. The boys had so much fun with their GiGi and PaPa. Recently, they have been insisting on seeing their picture on my computer. They SCREAM "GiGi, PaPa" at me until I put it on there.

(as I am tying this, they are sitting on either side of me looking at the picture saying, "Mommy, PaPa, Yeah! Mommy, PaPa, Yeah! Hi, PaPa, Hi, PaPa!")

They definitely love all their grandparents. We have a picture of them with Grandpa Chupp on the fridge and they both insist on playing with it and repeatedly say "Grandpa, Grandpa!"

The boys have also gotten very interested in lining up their cars. We find lines like this all around the house.

Here are some fun pictures of Cooper too. He is getting so big!

Longhorns in Aggieland? Say it isn't so!

Um, no, it's not. But, I have been meaning to post this picture for a while now. Somehow, my laying around the house for the past month has gotten in the way of me blogging (and doing just about anything else).

My parents were in town about a month ago to see Cooper and fortunately, they were here for my dad's birthday as well. He had a monumental birthday and we wanted to honor him by doing some of his favorite things. One of those favorite things is all things UT. He did actually get two degrees from there so it was the least we could do. So, all his grand kids wore UT gear all day. Isn't this a great picture? We had it put on some stationary for him as well.

Such a Sweet Boy!

I don't normally like posting pictures of myself but Cooper looks so sweet in this one.

He really is the best baby you have ever been around. He sleeps a lot of the time and looks like this most of the time he is awake. He smiles every time I hold him too - I swear it's true ;)!

Cooper James Puckett

Cooper James Puckett is finally here! After less than 30 minutes of "real" labor, Cooper was born weighing 9 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

He is the sweetest little boy and it already seems like he has always been a part of our family. Lauren is settling in to being a big sister and Cooper is lucky to have her as his guide!

The outfit Cooper is wearing in this picture was given to Jesse and me from Jesse's sister. We loved it so much, we wanted Cooper to have it. Our boys wore it when they came home from the hospital. The first picture below is James in the outfit and the second one is Jack in the outfit.

I thought two things were funny about the three pictures. First, I think they look very much alike and, you can really tell how small Jack was. Cooper is about double his size at the same age!

The boys got to meet Cooper for the first time tonight. We have been talking about him none stop so they were very anxious to get their hands on him (quite literally!).

James is saying, "Pooper!"

Look at the protective older sister not happy that the boys are so close!

Jack was trying so hard but could just not keep his hands off Cooper. We finally had to get them their own baby dolls.

It is hard to tell from this picture but they each had a doll and James just ripped Jack's out of his arms. He insisted on having both baby dolls.

GiGi is so happy to have her 4th grandbaby! She has always been a life saver when it comes to helping in the early weeks of their lives.

Welcome Cooper! I will love you more than you know!
